Jalen Duren comes through to seal a Draftkings Pick 7 lineup

It has been a little while since I picked a successful Pick 7 lineup on DraftKings but that is what happened Wednesday.

My two favorite sports leagues are MLB and NFL but the last few months my best luck has come on NBA picks, the sport that I barely watch.

This week I picked Jalen Duren, Detroit Pistons, Gregory Jackson and Ty Jerome of the Memphis Grizzlies, Will Richard, Golden State Warriors, Devin Vassell, San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder players Cason Wallace and Jaylin Williams to be my lucky pick and they came through. 

I picked the lineup and went on with my Internet scrolling. I checked back later and I was on the road to perfection with Williams and Duren needing to reach their goals to give me the victory.

I scrolled to another lineup and then checked back, and Williams had surpassed the goal of scoring more than 17.5 points. So now it was up to Duren. He needed to surpass 25.5 points. He was at 22 in the fourth quarter.

I watched nervously as so many times my lineups fall short by a point or less.

A short time later, Duren scored and was now at 25 points. I needed a half a point.

With less than five minutes to go a time out was taken and Duren was on the bench.

I couldn’t believe it. It appeared that it was going to happen again. I was about to lose a Pick 7 by a half a point. 

The score between the Pistons and Thunder was close, so there was hope he would come back in before the game ended.

But I couldn’t watch. So I got up and fed the cats. Then I returned to the computer screen and cautiously returned to Draftkings and was ecstatic to see Duren had come through and turned his circle green and completed my Pick 7.

So now my $1 has turned into at least $40. Since it is a perfect Pick 7 bonus money should be coming as there were 2,961 participants out of possible 5,000 with a total prize of $3,000 on the line.
