On Oct. 8 I mailed five cards to Beckett where they were received on Oct. 10.
They returned home 90 days later via Fed Ex on Jan. 14 with their grades shining.
The card that earned the highest grade is a 2003 Post Ichiro Suzuki with a 9.5 Gem Mint Gold.
The card is 3D and in my opinion looks awesome graded.
The card earned 10s on Centering and surface and a 9.5 on corners and a nine on the edges.
According to the Beckett Population Report there are only six of these cards graded and five have the same grade as mine.
I think I’m going to hang on to this one for a bit. It might make a great package with my 9.5 Ohtani card should I get in a financial bind.
The next card is a 2002 Topps Traded Dontrele Willis Chicago Cub rookie card.
This card earned a 8.5 near mint. Despite not being a 10 or 9 it is nice card.
There are 92 of these cards graded with 17 scoring an 8.5.
Next is a 2002 Topps Traded Roberto Alomar that scored an 8NM. The card features Alomar in his Indians and Mets uniforms. Only one of these cards are in Beckett’s pop report and this one is it.
Next is a 2021 Select Tom Brady that scored an 8NM. Like the Alomar card, the Tampa Bay Buccaneer card with Brady on it is the only of its kind graded by Beckett.
Last but not least is a 1975 Topps Hank Aaron/ Dick Allen card that scored a low 4.5 very good-excellent rating. Not terrible for a 51 year old card. Beckett has graded 45 of these cards with the lowest grade being a 3 and this card is the only 4.5 listed.
Next will be making the decision to keep or post for sale. For some of these cards it will be a tough decision. Not because of the grades but because of the love of the hobby and cards.
