Former NFL kicker Mike Horan responds to TTM request

SANTA ANA, CA  — Former National Football League kicker Mike Horan returned my through the mail autograph in 12 days.
Horan started his career with the Philadelphia Eagles in 1984 as a kicker.
In 1986 he joined the Denver Broncos where he played until 1992.
In 1993 he started a stint with the New York Giants that lasted until 1996.
Horan spent the 1997 season with the St. Louis Rams, the 98 season with the Chicago Bears and then back to the Rams for the 99 season.
Horan personalized my card.

Atlanta Braves TTM Successes and Failures



ATLANTA, Ga. — Former Atlanta Braves Ron Gant and Mike Bielecki are now additions to my through the mail autograph collection while former Brave Jimmy Kremers is not.
Bielecki returned my card in a short five days while Gant returned my card in 11 days.
I also received what the Braves call a Fan Pack.
My request was honored after 67 days with a letter, sticker and a schedule.
It doesn’t compare to what the Braves used to send. In the “old days” the Braves sent a pack of Turner Field dirt and a Tim Hudson card. 
Those were the days.
An attempt to gain an autograph from Kremers failed as the card came back marked return to sender.
Kremers played for the Braves in 1990 and later was traded to the Montreal Expos for Otis Nixon.
He never played in the big leagues again.

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — Former Miami Dolphin Jay Fiedler, took 11 days to return my though the mail autograph request.

Fred Lynn TTM Success

CARLSBAD, CA . — Former Baltimore Oriole Fred Lynn is quick through the mail signer.
He returned my TTM request in a short 11 days.
What Lynn doesn’t do is sign your card.
Instead he signs a blue index card for you. 
According to the posts on https://www.sportscardforum.com/ there are very few who get their cards signed.
Still a success though in my opinion.

Pokey Reese TTM Success

HOPKINS, S.C. — Former Cincinnati Reds shortstop Pokey Reese returned my signed baseball card in 71 days.
This was my second attempt to obtain a TTM autograph from Reese.
The first attempt was mailed in 2012 to North Carolina.
That card never found its way back home.
But this one did and I’m glad to add it to the growing collection.

St. Louis Cardinals Fan Pack Success






BUSCH STADIUM — A tip of the cap goes to the St. Louis Cardinals who are still providing fans with a great fan pack.
It took the organization 16 days to respond to my request for a Fan Pack.
Unlike other big league clubs who may only offer digital packs or nothing, the Cardinals came through with cards of Carlos Martinez, and Matt Carpenter. Also a 2016 Topps 5x7 Baseball Card of Michael Wacha, a sticker and nice thank you note.
Thank you Cardinals for still appreciating the fans.

Other clubs who have responded to my fan pack requests include the Houston Astros and Oakland A’s.

Juan Samuel TTM Success

Philadelphia, PA — This year got off to a great start with many through the mail autograph request successes. Many of the cards returned had been gone from home for a long time including Ken Howell whose card came back to me after 2,755 days.

Dwayne Henry returned my card back to me signed this year after a 689 day wait.

Keith Lockhart returned my signed card after 1,436 days.

Another long time wait came to an end this year as Juan Samuel returned my TTM request after 703 days.

In recent weeks the returns have slowed down. But this year’s successes have proven that sometimes good things come to those who wait.
