Gaylord Perry and Jack Lazorko autographs arrive

 This week former California Angels’ pitcher Jack Lazorko responded to my though the mail autograph request in a short five days.
Lazorko has a near perfect response rate listed on http://www.sportscardforum.com/forum.php?referrerid=72224

With the good comes the bad, as my request sent to former Los Angeles Dodger Mike Marshall was returned marked unable to forward.

 On another note, I took a chance with an ad from Baseball Collector’s Daily which turns out to be Sports Collectors Daily based out of St. Louis, Mo.
The deal was send $100 and receive an autographed baseball from a Hall of Fame member including a chance for a Babe Ruth.
 I received a Gaylord Perry autographed ball, which makes me happy since Perry pitched for my Atlanta Braves. However,  I’am a little disappointed with the certificate of authenticity.

The other COAs I have received usually has the company’s name, the date and the players name.
This one only lists Sports Collector’s Daily.
There is a number listed on the box the ball came in but no hologram on the ball.
While I’m thrilled to have a Gaylord Perry autograph, it is disappointing to pay $100 bucks and not have a better COA. Just my opinion.

Leo Gomez and Dan Schatzeder, Successes Again

Leo Gomez has sped up his response time. 

I first mailed Gomez in 2014 and it took 36 days for the card to return. 

This year, I failed to realize I had already contacted him and mailed him another card on Aug. 31. The card came back signed in just nine days. 

 Dan Schatzeder was a quick return too. 

Schatzeder returned two signed cards in 11 days. Again I had not realized I had already contacted him in 2013. That attempt was also a quick success.

Time to give up on some cards

It seems to be time to give up hope on some cards that have been in the mail for over two years. However, I have been surprised and some cards have arrived after over a 1,000 days.

Former Cleveland Indian Cory Snyder is Returning TTM Autographs

Former Cleveland Indians outfielder Cory Snyder is responding to through the mail autograph requests. 

Snyder returned my 1990 Upperdeck card in a quick 22 days.

Quick TTM Return from Bill Buckner

If you have a spare Bill Buckner baseball card and a spare $10, you can mail both to Buckner and in a few short days you will have a through the mail autograph.

Buckner returned my signed card in just 11 days.

Buckner started his career in 1969 with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

he went on to play with the Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, California Angels, Kansas City Royals and back to the Red Sox in 1990 where he finished hi career.

Former MLB Pitcher Mo Sanford Returns TTM

Mo Sanford took 93 days to return my through the mail autograph request.

I mailed a card to Sanford on April 27 and the card returned signed on July 28.

Sanford had a short Major League Baseball career, playing for the Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies and the Minnesota Twins.

Dan Pasqua and Tim Leary respond to TTM requests after long waits

Two autographed baseball cards have arrived in the mail after a lengthy wait. First on June 1, a signed Dan Pasqua card arrived after being gone from home for 541 days.
 I mailed Pasqua on Dec. 7, 2013 to an address in Illinois. The card returned to me on June 1, 2015. Today, a signed card from Tim Leary arrived in mailbox after being away from home after a 680 day wait. I mailed Leary a TTM request on Aug. 24, 2013.
