The hits keep on coming
For the third time this year I have pulled a Lucky Hit out of a Topps Now Order.
First it was a Michael Harris variation. (see story)
then it was a Ronald Acuna variation. (see story)
Now it is a 4 out of 10 Black Parallel on a Max Fried and Fernando Valenzuela card.
The card marks Fried’s six wins and five earned runs in his first seven starts of the year as the best stats by a left-hander since Fernando did it in 1981.
I know some collectors do not get excited about limited number cards unless they are 1 of 1.
But I disagree. I look at it from the stand point that out of the entire human population, there are only 10 people out there who could have one of these cards. From that view, I think that is pretty cool.
I saw a content video the other day addressing the two view points to this issue, one side is the side I'm on and the other view is, nice but its not a 1of 1.
I hope those who think that way, will one day see from the other view. But its probably like politics and once your mind's eye sees it one way, that is it.
This card will go rest with the Trea Turner 5/10 Red; Andy Pages 1/49 Blue; Luisangel Acuna 4/25 purple; Travis D’Arnaud 13/49; Cj Abrams 11/49; Freddie Freeman 12/25 and the Freeman 30/49, pile while I decide to grade or not to grade.
