My first Draftkings Pick4 experience is a win

This weekend I played DraftKings Pick6 for the first time and I’m hooked. A free $50 promo persuaded me to give it a try.

So the way it works, is players are presented with predicted stats. They then choose if the player will be surpass that number or fall short.

My first round of picks fell short as I got four out of six right.

Lamar Jackson fell short of 217.5 yards passing as I predicted. Ladd McConkey recorded over 76.5 yards receiving, while Dalton Schultz recorded less than 33.5 yards as I selected and C.J. Stroud rushed for more than 13.5 yards.

Where I fell short was Mark Andrews who I thought would achieve over 47. 5 yards passing and Derek Henry who for some reason I didn’t think he would rush for more than 110.5 yards. I won’t make that mistake again.

My second day of selections went much better.

I chose a Pick4 contest.

First up was Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen, who I picked to throw for more than 1.5 touchdown. Mission accomplished as Allen threw two TDs.

Next up was Philadelphia Eagles’ Saquon Barkley and Green Bay Packer Jordan Love.

These two outcomes came down to the end of the game.

I predicted Love would throw less than 217.5 yards and that Barkley would rush for more than 103.5 yards.

As the fourth quarter ticked down, Barkley was stuck at 98 yards.

The Packers had the ball and were trying to drive down the field for a TD.

My fear of Barkley not achieving five more yards turned to would Love surpass 217.5yards.

With less than three minutes to go, Love launched the ball into the end zone.

If the ball is caught, my hope for victory is crushed.

Lucky for me, an Eagle defender intercepted the ball, giving the Eagles the chance to run out the clock and stranding Love with 212 yards passing.

My concerns turned to Barkley and would he be chosen to run out the clock and if so would he run.

On the first play, Barkley got the ball and gained another yard. Now I needed four yards.

Barkley got the ball and this time exploded for a 20-yard gain to finish off the game with 119 yards and keeping my streak alive.

Now the pressure was on Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels. I would need Daniels to throw over one and half touchdowns like Allen to make my PICK4 accurate.

In the second quarter, Daniels nailed down the first one with a TD to Dyami Brown.

Then the game ticked by and entered the 4th quarter and still no second TD.

As I started thinking well it was a good try, but then Daniels threw a TD to Terry McLaurin.

The TD was one of two scores that sealed Washington’s win and sealed my first DraftKings Pick4 win.

In a second contest, I had selected Barkley and McLaurin and as a result I won that contest too. Now we will wait for the next set of games.
