The Obit I had to write tonight for my bowling glove who has been with me for 20 years. Mr Brun S. Wickbag and Mr. Brun S. Wick Ball are the survivors.
Mr. Brun S. Wick died March 26 at Ponca Bowl at the age of 20. Wick was born at the Brunswick factory and lived at Kmart before residing in Ponca City.
Wick bowled many times at Ponca Bowl in the late 1990s with Sharon Rowen and Travis Harris. In 2000 Wick took time off to go to college.
After earning a journalism degree, Wick returned to bowling in 2011 and was a part of a team championship and a singles championship.
In 2015 Wick traveled to Reno, Nevada and took part in the USBC Women's Championship. He was looking forward to a trip to Vegas this year.
Reno was the highlight of his career. Before his demise on Saturday, he assisted Kay Flood on her opening throw which was a strike.
Shortly afterwards, he met his demise when she placed him on the counter at Ponca Bowl. There will be a service at the desk of Kay Flood at The Ponca City News.
The date hasn't been decided yet. RIP Wick.
