Darren Daulton took 10 days to sign a card submitted through the mail. |
(Update Daulton died on Aug. 6, 2017)
ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. — Long time Major League Baseball catcher Darren Daulton took 10 days to return my autograph.
The long time Philadelphia Phillie, also played with the Florida Marlins is currently responding to mail sent 30 miles up the road from me in Arkansas City, Kan.
I sent my request to what I believe is his parent’s address and the card was returned with a Tampa, Florida post mark.
Daulton, who is battlng brain cancer, is a three-time All-Star and played in the World Series two times, winning a ring with the Marlins in 1997.
Fans appreciate the players who take the time to honor their autograph requests and they should really truly appreciate Daulton honoring requests while competing with his biggest opponent in his life.
Depsite the illness, Daulton has a 100 percent TTM response rate listed on http://www.sportscardforum.com/forum.php?referrerid=72224.
