A 1,285 Day Wait for a GlenAllen Hill TTM

When I mailed Glenallen Hill a baseball card and an autograph request on March 7, 2011, my mother was still alive, stamps were 44 cents, my best friend and I had never fought and I didn’t have a diagnosed lung disease.
Well 1,285 days later the card has returned and all of the above has changed.
According to posts on http://www.sportscardforum.com/forum.php?referrerid=72224
it appears Hill has dug into his mail pile and is responding to requests that have been in limbo for years.
When I mailed Hill a request over three years ago, he had success recorded from 2010 but none since.
This week, five requests mailed from 2011-12 were marked with success.
For me, the 1,285 day wait beats out the 918 day wait for Ray Fontenot, the 826 day wait for Kevin Appier, the 536 day wait for Eddie Perez, the 332 day wait for Steve Lyons, the 315 day wait for Henry Cotto and the 303 day wait for Craig Reynolds.

Michael Tucker and Leo Gomez, TTM Success

Buddhasherbs
Through the mail autographs arrived this week from former Atlanta Brave Michael Tucker and former Baltimore Oriole Leo Gomez.
Both requests were honored after a 36 day wait.
It was my second request sent and received from Tucker. I desired his signature his on a Braves card and not just a Royal card.
Both players have a near perfect TTM success rate.

Some TTM Failures

Hope may be lost on some TTM request I entrusted to the United States Postal Service nearly two years ago.

Retired NFL player Antoine Winfield is also on my no response list.
I mailed Winfield on Oct. 22, 2012, after some reported success.
Since that time, no more success has been recorded for him.

I also mailed former NBA player Darrell Walker on Oct. 22, 2012.
No success to report there either. There is success recorded for him, so maybe my card got lost in the mail.

I kicked 2013 off with a TTM request sent to former MLB pitcher Ron Robinson.
He must have honored his last TTM request on Christmas 2012 because no success since recorded.

On Jan. 29, 2013, I mailed a request to former catcher Paul Sorrento after seeing perfect success recorded for the former Atlanta Brave.
Unfortunately, like the others, this card has not returned.

Current Atlanta Braves closer Craig Kimbrel seems to sign some but not all.
I took a chance on Feb. 11, 2013 and the card is still gone.

Former pitcher Dennis Boyd is also on my failure list.
I mailed Boyd on Feb. 11, 2013 after seeing a near perfect response rate for Boyd.
No luck for me as of yet.

Berebguer began his MLB career with the New York Mets in 1978.
He later played with the Kansas City Royals, Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, San Francisco Giants, Minnesota Twins, and the Atlanta Braves.
He played in the 1987 World Series with the Twins.
