My first batch of graded cards arrive with two 9.5 Gem Mints

My first batch of graded cards arrived today from Beckett.

For years I said I would never grade cards, in fact just a few months ago myself and a couple local collectors were discussing our dislike of what we perceived grading to be.

Soon after that I started watching some content creator videos and decided okay, let’s do this and I submitted nine cards to Beckett.

I sent them Aug. 22 and they arrived back home on Nov. 12 with the following results.

2011 Prestige Connections Matt Cassel Dwayne Bowe 124/250 KC Chiefs 8.5 Mint

2021 Leaf Draft Gold Nolan Gorman #13 St. Louis Cardinals 9 Mint

2017 Topps Jose Altuve LL #214 Houston Astros 9 Mint

2017 Albert Pujols LL #322 Los Angeles Angels 9 Mint

2020 Topps Opening Day Nico Hoerner #12 Chicago Cubs 9.5 Gem Mint

2020 Topps Chrome Update #51 Bo Bichette #51 Toronto Blue Jays 9.5 Mint

2021 Topps Chrome Update Platinum Player Die Cuts Paul Molitor Milwaukee Brewers 7.5 Mint

2024 Topps Now Dave Stewart & Rickey Henderson #751 Oakland A’s 8.5 Mint

2025 Bowman Chrome Mega Box Hurston Waldrop #61 Atlanta Braves 9 Mint

Overall I’m happy with the results, I was hoping for a higher grade on the Henderson card but I will survive.

Now to decide what is for sale and how to decide on a fair price. I think I’m going to keep the Henderson and Waldrop card for now, but things may change sooner than I plan.

If I do have any readers out there who are interested in a card be sure and leave a comment and I will send you a link to the Ebay or Mercari listing.
