B.J. Surhoff autograph arrives after 2,013 days

COCKEYSVILLE, MD. — Former Milwaukee Brewer  and Atlanta Brave B.J. Surhoff got around to responding to his mail last November.

Many through the mail autograph collectors were rewarded with his autograph after many years, in my case a 2,013 day or five year plus wait.

For me, 2018 brought in many cards after long waits.

Keith Lockhart kicked off the trend when his card arrived on Jan. 16 after a 1,436 day wait.

April brought an end to many of the long waits as Rick Wrona’s autograph arrived after 681 days.

That was followed by Don Robinson’s autograph arriving after a 684 day wait.

A Dwayne Henry autograph followed  after a 689 day wait.

A few days later a Juan Samuel autograph arrived after a 703 day wait.

The wait of all waits ended on April 30, 2018 when an autograph from former Dodger pitcher Ken Howell arrived after 2,755 days.
The Howell success is the longest successful wait I have recorded edging out Bob Tewksbury, whose card took 2,104 days to return home.
