It was a good week at the mailbox as TTMs arrived from five players.
The most exciting one was from Steve ‘Psycho’ Lyons.
It took 332 days to get this card back signed. Lyons even wrote Psycho on the card.
It is the fourth longest successful wait for me.
Ray Fontenont took 918 days, Kevin Appier, 826 days, and Eddie Perez, 536 days.
You can never give up on a card. You just never know if it is lost in the mail or at the bottom of a player’s stack.
Also, in the mailbox this week were autographs from Xavier Hernandez, Eddie Taubensee, Chris Sabo, and Rick Manning.
Sabo and Manning took seven days to sign and return, Hernandez, 10 days and Taubensee, nine days.
Taubensee included a card from http://www.thegoal.com collection.
The card encourages a visit to the website to read Taubensee’s inspirational story.
Many players are including cards such as these in an attempt to spread the word of God.
The Goal card states it is not for retail sale but is a gift from Taubensee and people who care.
